Who we are

QuitMyPouch ("the app", "we") is a self-help tool for reducing nicotine pouch use. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the controls you have. Contact: support@quitmypouch.com.

What we collect

Account: an anonymous account ID is created automatically so your data can sync; if you link an account, your email address or Apple/Google sign-in identifier. Profile: the first name you enter (used for greetings), your age, and, if provided, gender. Well-being and usage data you enter: answers from the onboarding self-assessment (nicotine usage amounts and timing, symptoms you select, coping patterns, goals, motivations), your self-assessment result, taper plan, pouch logs, slips, daily check-ins, craving sessions, and savings inputs. Purchases: your subscription state (product, trial status) via our payments processor. Diagnostics: crash reports and error events. Analytics: app usage events (screens viewed, features used) tied to a pseudonymous ID — your name is never included in analytics.

What we use it for

To build and adjust your personal taper plan, show your progress and savings, deliver the reminders you turn on, restore your data across devices, operate your subscription, fix crashes, and understand which parts of the app help people — nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we never use your health-related answers for advertising.

Session recordings (off by default)

The app can record anonymized replays of app screens to help us fix usability problems. This is OFF by default and only runs if you turn on "Share session recordings" in Settings → Privacy. Text you type is masked in recordings, and you can turn it off at any time.

Analytics choices

Usage analytics helps us improve the app and is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy ("Share anonymous usage data"), and the app works identically without it.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers, acting on our instructions: Supabase (database and sign-in, EU region), RevenueCat (subscription management), PostHog (analytics and optional session recordings, EU region), and Sentry (crash reporting, EU region). Payments themselves are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while you use the app. Settings → Account → Delete account & data permanently deletes your account and all server-side data. You can also email support@quitmypouch.com to request deletion. Deleting your data does not cancel an active subscription — manage that in your App Store or Google Play settings.

Age

QuitMyPouch is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your data, and to object to processing. Use the in-app controls or email support@quitmypouch.com and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. The latest version always lives here and at quitmypouch.com/privacy.
